Pakiaka is a fun and educational word game in te reo Māori which encourages players to challenge and improve their Māori vocab knowledge. Pakiaka is a game of speed - the aim is to finish your crossword grid first, but accuracy is just as important to ensure you get as many points as possible. There are extra challenges available, as well as play variations, to give players options depending on what type of game is desired. Pakiaka is a great whānau game where adults and tamariki can play together.

Pai tēnei kēmu ki te rapu kupu hōu, ā, ki te tākaro hoki me āku tamariki! - This is a good game to find new words and to play with the kids too! We each go through at the end and explain each word on our boards, that helps everyone playing learn each others words too. Trying to play one game per day at the moment :)

being a scrabble addict this fits into my world of learning te reo in a fun way. interestingly I know more kupu than i think! I'm using the dictionary te aka while playing because its more about learning than scoring for the time being.

Great whānau fun PAKIAKA

This game is great for our whole whānau. Even my young mokopuna are able to create words and enjoy playing to their own rules sometimes lol. Very impressed.
